Ferrari's Fernando Alonso set the pace in final practice ahead of tomorrow's German GrandPrix at Hockenheim. The Spaniard completed 14 laps and finished just ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton who celebrate's his 100th GrandPrix start tomorrow. He was followed by Sergio Perez in 3rd. It was a trouble free morning for Kimi Raikkonen as he finished 4th just ahead of the RedBull pair of Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.
Meanwhile plenty of grid penalties have been handed out. Mark Webber was the latest driver to be handed a 5 place grid penalty for a gearbox change, Nico Rosberg and Romain Grosjean also have grid penalties for the same reason.
In other news I was delighted to hear that Maria De Villota has returned to Spain to continue her recovery. So we shall see what happens in qualifying.
