London GrandPrix a step closer

Formula One in London, took another step to becoming a reality with the news that the Olympic Stadium had received and accepted the bid for the event. The idea is backed by Bernie Ecclestone, however he is not behind the bid.

The bid for the stadium was lodged by Intelligent Transport Services in association with Formula One. The bid faces stiff competition from West Ham United who have bid in. I believe that it would be a fantastic opportunity for London and it would also be a permanent to run alongside the British GrandPrix.

It would also bring a massive revenue stream into the heart of London and would be a huge spectacle. It is believed that the company wouldn't own the stadium, they would lease it and the event would run in and around the Olympic stadium.

We'll have to wait to see what happens
