Alonso wins in Germany as Vettel causes controversy

Fernando Alonso won an action packed German GrandPrix in Hockenhiem. There was controversy at the end of the race when Sebastian Vettel overtook Jenson Button to take second place on the podium. The result is under investigation and I believe that as Vettel got the position as a result of leaving the circuit he should receive a time penalty.

In my opinion he should get a post race drive through penalty. It was another great day for the Lotus team as Kimi Raikkonen, who started the race from 10th on the grid went on to finish the race in 4th place, however that could change depending on the outcome of the investigation into Sebastian Vettel.

It was a great race for Jenson Button who finished on the podium for McLaren, however he may take second from Vettel so we will see what happens. It was disappointing day for Lewis Hamilton as he went out of the race. It was another great weekend for Sauber as both their driver's finished the race in the points with Kamui  Kobayahsi finishing 5th and Sergio Perez finishing 6th.

The McLaren team made history with Jenson Button during the race as they completed the fastest ever pitstop once again as they completed his second stop in just 2.4 seconds.

Mark Webber finished had a disappointing race following his win Silverstone as he was only able to finish in 8th place although he maintains his advantage over team Vettel in the Driver's Championship.

Meanwhile it was a great result for Nico Rosberg, who finished the race in the points in 8th after starting the race from 19th on the grid.
