Great news as De Villota released from hospital

There was fantastic news today from the Marussia F1 team as they confirmed that their test driver Maria De Villota has been released from hospital in Madrid following her crash in England while testing for the team earlier this month.

Maria sustained serious head and facial injuries following the crash and as a result lost her right eye, however after spending six day's in a hospital in Madrid the were happy to release her. She will now recuperate in Spain with her family around her.

I am delighted to hear that she is out of hospital and it is remarkable that she has made the progress that she has due to her injuries. She has no memory of the crash however she underwent a neurological assessment which came back clear.
