This Friday 9th March sees the eagerly anticipated launch of Sky Sports dedicated Formula One channel Sky Sports F1HD. The channel is available to all existing Sky Sports customers free of charge. Sky have invested heavily in their Formula One coverage for 2012. They will show extended live coverage of all 20 races this season.
In the build-up to each GrandPrix weekend Georgie Thompson will present a Formula One magazine show on Friday evening's. Davd Croft and Anthony Davidson join the Sky Sports F1 HD team as they commentate on live coverage of Friday and Saturday practice sessions all live on Sky Sports F1 HD. Natalie Pickham joins the Sky team as Friday pit-lane reporter as role that she filled for BBC F1 last season.
David Croft will then be joined the commentator box on Saturday and Sunday by Martin Brundle. The pair did a trial run at Sky's new purpose built F1 studio a couple of week's ago as a dress rehearsal for the new season and it went extremely well. Ted Kravitz also joins Sky Sports F1 HD as pit-lane reporter, it will very interesting to see if Sky Sports continue the Ted has news feature haha.
