Following on from yesterday's announcement that the Caterham F1 team have signed a sponsorship deal with Visa today it was the Lotus F1 team's turn to announce a new sponsor. The team have signed a three year agreement with Microsoft Dynamics.
The new partnership will help the Lotus team to expand their business operations and will see Microsoft staff working at the team's Enstone HQ in the UK.
I believe that is fantastic news for Formula One we have the announcement of two new sponsors in the sport in the last two day's. I am sure that new sponsors will be announced in the coming day's and week's.
the weekend doesn't just see the start of the new Formula One season, it is also the start of a new era in F1 broadcasting as Sky Sports F1 are showing every practice, qualifying and of the course the race live and uninterrupted. There was also great news for the Marussia F1 team and Formula One in general as the team announced that they have signed Spanish driver Maria De Villota. She is attending her first race for the team this weekend so I think it would be fantastic if she gets the opportunity to drive the car On Friday in Practice.
