So we are in for an extremely exciting Abu Dhabi GrandPrix under the light's tomorrow if qualifying was anything to go by. With three race's to go the championship could be thrown wide open tomorrow afternoon as Fernando Alonso struggled for pace and will start tomorrow's race from 7th on the grid. Lewis Hamilton pulled off a fantastic lap to claim Pole position for McLaren with RedBull's Mark Webber alongside him in second place.
Championship leader Sebastian Vettel will start from third, however the German had a brake problem this morning and was told to stop the car on track after qualifying as there was an apparent problem with the car. Whatever the problem is Vettel certainly didn't look happy. It is going to be extremely interesting to see what happens over night. If Vettel is carrying a problem into the race he could potentially not finish the event which would blow the championship wide open.
With Webber starting second on the grid, RedBull have said that they would hope that the Australian 'does the right thing' to me that's an extremely clear message however Mark has stated that he would not be willing to help Vettel if he still had a mathematical chance of winning the championship.
He is currently in 4th in the standing's 73 points behind Vettel with 75 to play for. It was a great session for Kimi Raikkonen and Lotus as the the Iceman will start from 5th on the grid ahead of both Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.
It was a great session too for Pastor Maldonado who will start from 4th on the grid and is in a prime position to collect some valuable points for the Williams team.
We shall have to wait and see what happens tomorrow, but in my opinion the championship could be blown wide open heading to Texas.
